About Cafe 54
Café 54 & Truck 54 both offer paid pre-employment training opportunities for adults recovering from mental illness in a safe work environment.  Training at Café 54 gives members the opportunity to regain transferable job skills & confidence necessary for competitive employment. Enrolled members have immediate access to job development, and Employment Specialists begin  career exploration with trainees within the first 30 days.

Job developers work one-on-one with members to explore career paths each individual expresses interest in. Our developers assist with finding community employment in the form of supported and competitive employment as well as assisting interested individuals in returning to school to pursue educational goals. Coyote TaskForce has established relationships with schools and businesses throughout the Tucson community to ensure individuals have a variety of options  when searching for employment or education.

Our Mission:

  1. To assist citizens with mental illness in becoming tax-paying citizens.

  2. To provide the community with a pool of reliable employees who have had training and firsthand experience working in a real employment setting.

  3. Provide supported employment services: job development and placement, ongoing supports to maintain employment with optional pre vocational paid and unpaid training

  4. To reduce and ultimately eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness by shifting the focus from disabilities to abilities.
